This morning I woke up to at least a few inches of snow on the ground
and it was still coming down. I thought it was supposed to be cold
today but didn't realize it was supposed to snow. I guess the
groundhog got it right this year.
Overall it was just another lazy day, much like yesterday. I played
Staxel, watched YouTube videos, played CoD: WW2, did
the rest of my laundry, and read the graphic novel I Am Alfonso
Jones. I also started watching the fourth season of Black
Mirror. I forgot just how much I like that show. It is so good.
I'm a big fan of The Outer Limits and The Twilight
Zone, and this show has those elements with a near-future
outlook for the modern world (as opposed to the futuristic outlook of
a show that was on TV long before I was born). I would love for the
game that exists in the first episode of season four to be a real
thing. I also really liked how they started by making you feel bad
for a character and then turned him into the bad guy. I keep trying
to predict the outcome of the episodes and there's always some twist
I hadn't thought of, even if it is just a slight deviation from my
own prediction. It's just a good show.
I ended up not going on a date today. She canceled due to the
weather, and I'm kind of okay with that because I'm not a big fan of
driving in the snow. I'm sure the highway would have been fine by
this evening but better safe than sorry. There's always another day
(optimistically speaking) and I'm sure on at least one of them there
won't be snow on the ground.
This coming week I start by opening twice and then I close twice.
It's going to be a weird week. But then it will be the weekend
again, and I don't have to work next weekend, so that's something to
look forward to. I do really like my job, I think I'm just kind of
tired with life in general at the moment. I was happier before the
dating apps. They are meant to improve your quality of life but so
far they have really only had an adverse effect. Oh well. I'll
figure things out at some point.
