This morning I woke up early, after less than seven hours of sleep,
and I'm not sure why, but I rolled with it. I read a graphic novel
for awhile before getting out of bed. And then I didn't really do
much with the rest of my day. I watched videos, played video games,
and did my laundry.
I played a lot of Subnautica. I spent a really long time
searching for gel sacks because they are an ingredient in a couple
things I wanted to build, but I was completely unsuccessful.
Eventually they showed up in my list of scannable items in my scanner
room. I'm not sure why that list changes so frequently. Anyway,
three showed up, so I headed out and ended up finding a whole bunch
once I saw where to look for them. From what I read they were
supposed to be in caves but that's apparently outdated information.
Near the end of playing I was able to build the cyclops, which is the
biggest submarine in the game. It's massive, and it nearly spawned
on my base. It was actually somewhat on my moonpool so I had to move
it out a bit. But that's all I have driven it. I'm kind of afraid
to take it out because I don't want it to get destroyed immediately.
I left off in the middle of creating power cell chargers, so I can
charge the expended power cells and swap them out for new ones. I
also need to look into what upgrades I have access to at the moment,
and possibly do some more digging around if I don't have access to
anything defensive. I was able to fully upgrade the depth ability of
my seamoth so now I can go down to 900 meters, while the cyclops is
still has a maximum depth of 300meters. I need to take the seamoth
out for a spin now that I can go so deep, but I'm also a little
concerned about what sort of aggressive creatures are down that far.
I also played CoD: WW2 today. It feels like it has been a
little while since I did more than just log in and get my payroll to
keep my streak alive (today was the 103 day in a row, I believe). I
was a little rusty but having put over two hundred hours into the
game, the muscle memory came back pretty quickly. It also helped a
lot that they are doing a free multiplayer weekend on PC. The vast
majority of the people I played with and against were obviously brand
new to the game this weekend, which made things quite a bit easier.
I got caught up with the video games so it was another late night
elliptical run and shower, but I still got it done, so it counts.
It's now two o'clock in the morning, and I'm tired, so I'm going to
record my audio journal and go to bed. Tomorrow afternoon I'm going
to go to the book sale with my Mom and sister. And I'm hoping I
don't sleep through the entire morning.
