Today was a pretty slow day in the lab, and a slow day at work in
general, so I was able to finish two annotated bibliographies. I
stumbled across a journal specifically made for Problem-Based
Learning and found several relevant articles in there. I'm now have
twenty-four articles to pick from, which gives me some wiggle room.
I actually barely left the lab today. I had a couple classes in the
morning and one in the afternoon but other than that I just worked on
school stuff. Which means I don't really have anything to write
about. And I'm also not really in the mood to write because I've
been reading articles and writing all day.
Tonight was Chipotle night and the girl making my order is mildly
determined to remember my order. She got pretty much everything
wrong today so there's only room for improvement. My burrito ended
up being pretty good but I think I need to go back to asking for only
a little sour cream and cheese. Or maybe just one of those instead
of both.
After dinner I knocked out another two annotated bibliographies. The
first was particularly difficult because I got hung up on one
freaking word. I had summarizing or paraphrasing articles because
the authors spent so much time writing what they mean and then I'm
supposed to come along and say it in a slightly different way but
maintain the accuracy of the statement. And sometimes it feels like
the author said whatever it was in just such a way that it doesn't
make sense any other way. That is when the frustration kicks in.
But I powered through and now I am up to ten annotated
bibliographies, which means I am ahead of schedule. I could
potentially be done tomorrow if I decide to stop at twelve. I have
until Sunday so I might try and go all the way to fifteen but we'll
see how things go. I still need to read a chapter and article and
watch a video lecture so I can write a discussion post for my
research class. And make the graphic for the information cycle for
my other class. I tried to come up with some ideas for that project
today but I'm still at a bit of a loss. I want something interesting
but also something I know enough about so I don't have to do too much
research because of my time constraints this week. I'll figure
something out.
