Today was not as productive as I would have hoped. My life is full
of shocks. In terms of school, I started designing the newspaper for
one of my group projects. The thing I'm most proud of is the name of
the paper. The town listed in our case study is Whitewater Bay, and
using a thesaurus, I came up with The Daily Bight. This is clever
because 'bight' is another word for 'bay'. At least I think it is
clever. I also decided that we are going to go with the diversity
choice rather than the practical one, so now we know what to write
about. I emailed my partner and asked her to write to opinion
articles, one for and one against the choice. I am going to write
one discussing the library director's choice and then at least one
more about something. The other groups have three people in them so
I might try and write at least one more article so fill space if we
need that.
My sister and her significant other came over for dinner. They also
brought a stool over from my grandma's house. It is the one that
used to be out in my grandpa's shop at their old house. At some
point since then my grandma had it upholstered and painted, but it is
still the same stool I remember from childhood.
I stopped by my dad's tonight to give him some stuff and we ended up
talking about a bunch of different random stuff for about two hours.
During this I also played with one of the cats, who loves this long
piece of pink ribbon. My dad said he is smart enough now that he
knows what drawer it is kept in. When he really wants to play with
it he can stand up on his hind legs, open up the drawer, hop up on
the desk, and get his ribbon. At one point I got him spinning in a
circle and about the time I started to wonder if he was getting dizzy
I stopped and he kind of wobbled and sidestepped into one of the bar
stools. So cats can get dizzy. I learned that tonight.
For at least the last half of this day I have been aware of my left
kidney. It's generally not a good sign when I become aware of one of
my kidneys. I did just recently pass a surprise kidney stone and I'm
afraid maybe that is just a precursor to a much more noticeable
kidney stone. I'm taking my heating pad back to the new house
tonight just in case.
And now it's late and I want to wake up early, like with an alarm
clock early, so I can accomplish some things tomorrow, so I'm going
to bed.
