October 19, 2014

Today I did things. Not a lot of things but I was productive. I wrote my second newspaper article. It was about older people in a retirement home, which I called Shady Pines, and the first lady mentioned was named Sophia Petrillo. I got a kick out of that. I also did a slight bit of editing on my partner's first article so it made sense in the newspaper. I also did a few minor edits to my partner's PowerPoint and sent everything back to her. In the next day or two I will need to finish up the newspaper so I don't need to worry about and can focus on the presentation. I really have no idea what to expect out of that. I also need to start reading articles and writing annotations. The guy writing the paper is ready and waiting to get started. I still haven't heard back from the professor but I'm working under the impression that he will be okay with it. Fingers crossed on that.

My sister and her significant other helped move my new chairs and desk over to the new house. I unloaded the the desk and carried it down but I played no hand in loading or unloading the chairs. Sometimes it helps having a truck driver around that wants to show off how strong he is. I'm okay with that because one of those chairs is awkwardly heavy. Last night I ordered computer desks so I'm pretty set on furniture now. Minus bookshelves which I will never have enough of and am currently severely lacking. But I also don't have the funds to buy a bunch or the time to make my own.

We all got Chinese food for dinner and it was delicious. Steamed broccoli, fried rice, and french fries. Mostly always good times. Sometimes the broccoli is a bit weird but tonight they did it up right and it was all delicious.

And that's all I've got for today. There wasn't a lot going on. I can't wait for winter break so I can do non-school things for awhile. In total I really haven't put too much time into school stuff, I've spent way more time avoiding school stuff, but I feel to guilty while avoiding it to actually do fun stuff, like fall into a video game for a few hours. I only have a couple more months to go. But hopefully I can knock these group projects out so I actually have more school to worry about in the future. It would suck a whole bunch not to make it through the first semester.
