Last night I wasn't able to fall asleep. I tried it out for awhile
but ended up reading my textbook for awhile. So I guess that is a
plus. It did lead to a lot of yawning today, which isn't preferred.
The principal decided that since the writing portion of the test
isn't going to count for anything, it is just a field study or
whatever, so the accommodation kids can take it with their classes.
That meant we didn't test this morning because both classes were
going to take the writing test. There was only one test this
afternoon because fifth grade were one day behind the other classes
and forth grade weren't testing today.
The lack of testing left a lot of time to edit baby pictures. I was
able to catch up with all the baby pictures that have been submitted.
Now I'm going to edit some of the ones that have been taken this
year and maybe some of the old school portraits I found.
After school I was talking with some of my coworkers and one of the
topics of discussion was the fact that one of the fifth grade
teachers and one of the office ladies both say “pigpile” instead
of “dogpile”. She apparently yelled at her kids at recess to not
pigpile, who were confused, and one of the second grade teachers
looked at her and said that was cute but the word was dogpile. I
guess pigpile is a Northeast thing. It probably makes more sense
than dogpile but I don't think I'll change my ways.
When I got home from work I practiced my presentation. I eventually
ran through it about three times and each time it came in right
around fifteen minutes, maybe a minute more. I figure that's pretty
good because when I get up there and actually give the presentation
I'll probably forget things and come in at least a couple minutes
short. I had to stop reading it out loud, though, because my voice
gave me a headache. It has a tendency to do that if I talk too much.
Now I'm watching the Neebs livestream but I'm freaking tired. I
can't go to bed yet, despite the sleepiness, because I'm waiting on
laundry, and I need to post a reply for this week's discussion. I
was a bit lost on this week's discussion though, so it is a struggle
finding a question I can bullshit on, especially given my current
state. And going back to my current state for a second, my left
kidney felt like it was flaring up (the slightest hint of a feeling)
last night when I was laying in bed, and I have felt it again
tonight. It makes me uneasy. If it could hold off indefinitely,
that would be great.
