Today was not nearly as productive as yesterday in terms of school
work. I read a long article and watched an hour long article on RDA,
which is apparently the cataloging standard that is meant to replace
AACR2. I managed to make it through both without remembering that
RDA stands for Resource Description and Access. Somewhat interesting
but not really. I think I kind of like cataloging but I also think
it would get kind of boring after awhile.
I also read a lot about the website I'm supposed to make my
instructional presentation on and kind of started making the
presentation. I made the title slide and added another blank slide.
Tomorrow I want to finish the outline and maybe turn that into a full
presentation. At the moment, turning it all into a fifteen minute
presentation seems a bit daunting. I'll get there.
Tomorrow I also need to put in a little more effort on my metadata
schema group project. The one where we are creating a schema based
on superheroes. So far I haven't gotten farther than trying to come
up with a name for it. That will eventually turn into yet another
presentation I have to make.
Tonight we went over to the old house and loaded up a bunch more
stuff. We are very nearly there. And yet there is still so much
crap. I'm so tired of crap. I want to just get rid of everything.
Like to the point of packing a backpack and moving into the hills.
If I had more than one life to live, and I didn't like my computer
and the internet so much, I would spend a few years as a hermit in
the mountains.
When I got home I played a little CS:GO and Nazi Zombie
Army. In my first match in CS:GO I was very briefly the
leader in Arms Race. It was all downhill from there but for that
short period of time I didn't feel completely terrible. I think I
was pretty close to getting to the knife, I was somewhere in the
pistols. And in Nazi Zombie Army I came across my first
skeletons and an elite. It wasn't nearly as terrifying as it seems
watching Sark play but I play on Normal and he plays on the highest
difficulty, so that makes a bit of a difference.
Right now it is a little after 11:30PM and I would like to get to bed
by midnight, half-past at the lastest. Slowly getting back to a
decent sleep schedule.
