I slept in later than I would have liked, turning off my alarm after
it went off and then going back to sleep. But I still got a lot
accomplished today. I read a bunch about my metadata schema, watched
a webinar about it and took copious notes, and then I made a detailed
outline of the information I want to talk about in my presentation.
Many hours later I, so many that it was after dinner, I started
making my PowerPoint presentation. I only got the title slide
finished but in order to do that I had to download a theme from the
internet and used Gimp to make a couple pictures for the background
of my slides. Tomorrow I want to finish the presentation, figure out
what I'm going to say, and actually record the presentation. Lofty
goals. I ran through just reading my outline and it took longer than
the allotted five minutes so I need to make some edits.
Tonight I went through an active security training for the movie
theater two and a half times and and took the final exam twice. It
got real annoying. Halfway through the training the first time my
browser unexpectedly quit. After running through the whole training
thing again I took the final exam but forgot I needed to put in my
manager's email address instead of my own so he could get the
results. So I had to go through the training again and take the
final exam again so I could put in the correct email address. I
guess you could say I'm super ready for an active shooter incident
now. If only I could actually get scheduled for a shift at the
theater.
Tonight we had a family pizza night. Little Caesars is delicious.
When I was growing up we used to do a family dinner night with my
grandparents almost every week. I kind of switched that to a
Chipotle night every week with my mom and sister. But I'm thinking
we should maybe bring back pizza night because pizza is always good.
Maybe that could be a reintroduced weekend thing.
Somehow it is already after two o'clock in the morning. I need to go
to bed so I can wake up and be productive once again tomorrow. Two
days in a row would easily be a record.
