I was up really late last night watching a livestream and it is
currently almost 11:30PM. My sleep schedule is a tad screwed up at
the moment.
My workday involved more state assessments and photo editing.
Testing went well. We still aren't able to reactivate tickets, and
it was decided that the speed-demon fourth graders yesterday were
going to take their Reading test from yesterday again, so today they
started on their Math tests. One of the SPED teachers also came down
to the lab while they tested just to make sure they weren't going too
fast. It went a lot better and it was a lot less frustrating than
yesterday's test.
Near the end of the day when testing was over I went down to the
library to look at the library clerks computer because it has been
running really slow. She put in a trouble ticket awhile ago but
nothing has happened yet. I ran the disk cleanup and defraged the
hard drive, even though I think I read somewhere that the defrag
thing doesn't really help much in the modern world. I can't
remember. But I did it anyway. I think it had already started to
run a little faster by the time I did my thing but we'll pretend I
did something worthwhile. I also got two homemade cookies from the
clerk out of the deal, so that was nice.
After work I went and got Chipotle. There were more people working
but the two slow girls were at the end of the line and on the
register. The burrito could have been wrapped better but it was a
considerable improvement over recent weeks.
I keep yawning and it is interfering with my typing.
The favorite part of my day now is driving in my car because I get to
listen to the Harry Potter audiobook. I believe I've made it
to chapter seven of the first book. They have just reached Hogwarts
and are about to be sorted into houses. It's real temping to just
drive laps around town.
Tonight I spent a lot of time trying to download the software we need
to use to record our presentations for class, just in case I want to
go that route instead of writing the paper. It was more of a
distraction from actually doing work than an actual desire to go with
the presentation over the paper. The problem was that there wasn't a
link anywhere to download the software. I tried three different
browsers and two computers and all sorts of other things but nothing
worked. Then I emailed the contact at the university and to my
surprise he responded really quickly. After a few emails back and
forth he was able to do something on his end that made the download
button magically appear. Then I no longer had that as an excuse to
not do work.
After that I watched a multi-stream of Sark and APL playing Zombie
Army Trilogy, picking up where they left off last time. I also
texted a bunch with one of my friends and put in a very small amount
of effort on one of my assignments. Good grief.
