I didn't have a lot going on this morning. I think I just watched
YouTube videos and exercised. Around one o'clock I went over to my
dad's house for lunch. Yesterday day was his birthday and my
sister's husband's birthday so it was kind of a birthday lunch for
them. My dad made ribs and steak which both looked really good, but
I had a fake hot dog. I also had a noodle thing, steamed green
beans, grilled corn that my sister had soaked in a brine, homemade
coleslaw and potato salad that my sister made, homemade fruit salad
that my grandma made, and homemade hummus and homemade tortilla
chips, also made by my grandma. All-in-all, I ate way too much food.
But it was all so good. I need to get the tortilla chip recipe from
my grandma. Those would be way better for me than the chips I am
eating now, and they go really well with hummus.
I left my dad's house around five o'clock and when I got home I
played more Saints Row 4. I
had beat all of the side missions and played all the challenges
(though I need to go back and work on getting gold medals on all of
them) so I decided to finish the game. It was over-the-top and
ridiculous and a lot of fun. There are already a couple DLCs for the
game but I think I am going to wait for a bunch to come out and then
go on sale. In the meantime I want to work on the challenges and
collecting the rest of the collectible things. Although having
finished the game, I'm not sure what my motivation is going to be
like. I have so many other games to play. I need to finish
Half-Life and it has
been awhile since I've driven my truck in Euro Truck
Simulator 2. I also need to
start getting serious about applying to graduate schools, which is
something that should take precedence over video games.
I spent the rest of my night doing
laundry and watching YouTube videos. Exciting stuff. The best part
about a long weekend, other than the fact that it is a long weekend,
is that the week following (if the long weekend was made with a
Monday) is short. I like my job but I'm not going to argue with a
short week.
