Not a lot to write about today. I went to Target to get a birthday
card for my dad and gum. Then I went across town to Staples to see
if they had keyboard wrist rests, because Target only had them on
mouse pads, but Staples also failed me. They did have a 32GB thumb
drive that was was more like a thumbnail drive. It was unbelievably
small and was only as big as it was because it needed to have the usb
connector. That will be a tempting upgrade for the one that I put
music on for my car. I think that one is “only” 8GB, maybe 16GB.
But I don't see the need to upgrade until the one I have craps out.
I exercised for real today and I am going to feel it in the morning.
I am so out of shape. But I want today to be the beginning of my
daily exercising again. Despite my laziness and lack of motivation,
I do miss exercising so hopefully I can get back into it. And start
eating better.
When I was sitting at work today I kept smelling a very girly smell
and I couldn't figure it out. Until I remembered that the soap I
used to wash my hands before heading to work was from Bath & Body
Works and smelled very girly. When I wasn't solving mysteries, I
read more in my book and worked on my cross stitch. And I worked on
my cross stitch enough to actually finish it. It feels so good to
finally be done with it. At least the stitching part. I still need
to figuring out the mounting and framing aspect of it but I've got
time for that. In order to finish it tonight I stayed a little bit
later than I needed to because the manager said I could go home
whenever I wanted but I was so close to the end that I stayed to
finish it. I still got out about fifteen minutes early which was
nice.
And with that, I am going to call August good. I have written more
pages this month than I have in quite awhile. I usually only barely
break even, if at all, in terms of number of pages and number of days
in a month. This month I am just over thirty-eight single-spaced
pages and somewhere over 28,200 words. That might even be a record.
August has been a big month. But I have constantly had the urge to
type 'July' when writing the date for each entry so we'll see if I
can fully embrace the writing of 'September' in the coming weeks.
