I am tired and want to go to bed and I am hoping this entry is short.
We'll see how I do.
There is a relatively new girl at school so when we printed out test
tickets awhile ago she wasn't on the list. The principal got her
added but we never got around to printing her tickets off. This
became obvious today when her class was taking the test and there
wasn't a ticket for her. I went to see if the principal had one but
I think she was in a meeting and I couldn't find her. I heard one of
the kindergarten teachers, who sometimes subs for the principal, knew
how to print tickets so I headed down to his room. We couldn't
remember the website so we had to go back to the office and then back
to the kindergarten room. We eventually got the girls login
information but it ended up taking about thirty minutes to get it all
worked out. Tomorrow's test should go better.
That same kindergarten teacher had lab time after that test and when
it got closer to his time it didn't look like everyone would be done
taking the test so I went down to his room to tell him he wasn't
going to have his lab time. He wasn't there so I told his student
intern and then headed back to the lab. As I got there the teacher
came out of the lounge where he had been eating ice cream. He was
supposed to be coming to ask me about his lab time and he said I was
going to get him in trouble with the student intern because he
obviously wasn't doing what he told her he was going to do. When I
was talking to him one of the paras came out of the lounge and called
me by the wrong name as a joke because when we were walking into the
main office last week one of the secretaries called me by the wrong
name. She joked about starting a thing and getting everyone to do it
but I told her most people still mispronounced my last name so I
didn't need any help. Then she complimented our choice in shoes
because we were both wearing Chucks and said mine were better because
they were red, so we parted ways on good terms.
The rest of the day was fairly boring. Watching kids take tests.
Near the end of the day I helped one of the new Chinese kids get into
Odyssey. He just got here in the last month or so and doesn't speak
very much English so we were trying to find math stuff that was
fairly straight forward. That was kind of a success. Maybe. Not
really. But he did way better than I would have done trying to do
math in a foreign language.
The new Battlefield 3 DLC
came out today and I made the exact same mistake I made with the last
DLC. Before work this morning I downloaded what I thought was the
DLC but it ended up just being a massive 2GB update. I discovered
this when I tried to play tonight and it said I still needed to
download the DLC. So I had to wait over an hour for that to
download. Fantastic. I had fun once I actually got to play though.
At least when I was playing the new Air Superiority mode. It is just
a bunch of jets dogfighting while trying to capture and hold three
different spots on the map. I suck at shooting down other jets but I
finally got the controls back to what I was used to before they got
reset, so that is a plus. I think the best round I had was when I
got one kill and only died three times. I got a lot of kills stolen
from me but I could never manage more than one kill. It was still
had fun flying around regardless of my inability to kill the enemy.
After
that I tried one of the new maps in Rush mode and just got destroyed
by the other team which is never fun. The map looked nice but I was
too busy getting annoyed by bullshit so I called it a night after
getting dominated twice.
Now it is bedtime.
