I feel like I lost an hour today. Which makes sense because of
Daylight Savings but it generally doesn't affect me. Today I forgot
about the time change until some time after 10:00AM, which made the
day go from mid-morning to almost lunch time. I wish I had gotten up
when I first woke up at 7:30AM instead of going back to bed until
9:00AM. Life goes on.
Today I played a few videos games. I jumped into a few games of Halo
4 and I've still got it. At
least enough of it that I didn't completely suck. My best game
involved several kills with a sniper rifle and a giant laser. Not
bad. I also played a bunch of 10,000,000.
The point of the game is to get a score of 10,000,000 and I have
gotten within 600,000 at least a couple times. There isn't a lot of
skill involved in the game but it is pretty addictive. I briefly
looked at the Sim City 4
tutorial but I was too distracted by watching DVRed stuff so I had to
stop. I really want to play that game but twice now I have started
the tutorial and not made it through. I need to take the time to
actually make it through so I can start making my city. I also have
the old school Sim City 2000,
which is what I used to play when I was a kid, but I haven't gotten
around to playing that either. Then I played a little bit of Super
Amazing Wagon Adventure which I
got awhile ago in an indie bundle. It is like Oregon Trail
on meth. I made it to the Great Plains twice, got attacked by a
bunch of unicorns, and killed by a dragon. Definitely a strange
game. Lastly, I played several levels of Stealth Bastard,
another game from an indie bundle. I made it through the levels that
were pretty straight forward and didn't require much thought but
didn't want to actually put thought into the first somewhat thought
provoking level, so I called it a night.
I need to just go through my games
folder alphabetically and play one game a day. I have so many
freaking games I have never played. Way more than I have played
actually. Yet I keep buying them. I am getting better about not
buying bundles but there is still the occasional impulse purchase.
Progress. Sort of.
