Last night I only got six hours of sleep, which sucked, but this
morning I ran for fifteen minutes on the elliptical, so there's that.
Today was a long day at work, and not just because I was there for
nine and a half hours, it was just a long, quiet day. So neither
good, nor bad. I got to work a little bit early, counted the drawer
(which went well), and printed off the room schedules because the
assistant was having computer issues. It was my first time actually
printing the weekend schedule using my template (other than when I
was making the example) and it worked out just how I designed it to.
I spent the first two hours on desk and it was relatively busy. I
answered a few phone calls, had a chat with an involved room
reservation question, helped a couple patrons find books, and
completed the personalized reading list I started on Thursday. By
the end of the day we had received three more requests. I'm just
glad I currently have the time to not feel overwhelmed by having so
many requests.
And speaking of, after a walkthrough, I started on another list. And
helped a few patrons.
For lunch I went up to the cubicle and continued watching the Yogcast
series for Colony Survival because that has been my recent
obsession the past couple of days.
After lunch I was on desk again. I helped the occasional patron,
finished a personalized reading list, caught up on news articles and
the local paper, and started another personalized reading list. I
took a break from that to refill my Inspirational display, but then
spent the rest of the day working on the latest personalized reading
list and helping patrons when they came to the desk. Again, it was a
long day, but I got some things done.
When I got home I ate dinner, watched YouTube videos, and finished
adding my Humble Bundle games to my Steam account. That's something
I should have been doing for years now. And I eventually played a
little CoD: WW2. For the most part, it was not a good night
for the game. There were definitely lag and connectivity issues
because my bullets weren't killing anyone and I was often getting
killed long after I had gone around a corner. It was frustrating. I
had a couple good games of Capture the Flag, because that mostly
consisted of me grabbing the flag and running, rather than trying to
shoot people. I also had one great moment where I saw a dude peaking
over a ledge so I stepped behind a rock, jumped so I could briefly
see over the top of the rock, and sniped him in the head in the
fraction of a second I could see over the rock. After that I played
like complete crap, but I had one great moment.
I finished the first season of Colony Survival Yogscast series
and have started on season two, which just started a couple weeks
ago, so there aren't very many episodes. But I need to pause that
for now because I'm tired and want to go to bed. Bed sounds great.
