This morning I woke up at 6:30AM because I decided to go into work
half an hour early instead of staying half an hour late. So I woke
up half an hour early, ran on the elliptical, got ready, and went to
work. We're apparently at that time of year where the sun positions
itself just behind the trees so as I drive to work it creates a
potentially seizure-inducing strobe effect in my peripheral vision.
I don't like it.
When I got to work I turned on the computers downstairs and then I
sharpened around seventy pencils. And when we opened I was on desk
for two hours. I read news articles and worked on my own article.
Then I had a few walkthroughs and kind of worked on my article but
probably spent most of the time talking to my coworkers.
After lunch I was off desk for an hour, read part of a short story,
and talked to my coworkers. Then I was on desk for two hours. I
helped the occasional patron, read library-related articles, and once
again, talked to my coworkers, because it was a Friday and no one
really wanted to work. For the last hour I had a walkthrough, looked
up a recipe for tiger bread, and touched base with the teen librarian
about our adulting series.
On my way home I stopped at the grocery store. They are in the
process or rearranging the store and I ended up having to ask workers
twice where stuff was. The first time was for rice flour, which
turns out is in the aisle next to the aisle with all the other flour,
which seems weird. I also had to ask where the peanut butter was.
That one I should have been able to find on my own but it's in a
really short aisle and I walked right by it. In the end I found
everything I was looking for except cranberries. I wanted to make
cranberry salsa but that's not going to happen for the time being.
Tonight I ate dinner, watched YouTube videos, and later on I got
around playing CoD: WW2. There were one or two not fun games
but overall it was an alright night. I have two more levels before I
can prestige again, which I should be able to hit this weekend,
maybe.
Now it's late and way past my bedtime.
