January 27, 2018

This morning I slept in and it was really nice. Then I watched YouTube videos, paid bills, and played Staxel, which is a new game that ticked my boxes. It's like Minecraft was made in the style of Cube World and had mechanics similar to Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. It's slow getting started but it's one of those games that are a complete time sink, and I hope I can get sucked into it.

This afternoon I eventually got around to running on the elliptical but I was running late so I only got ten minutes in. But I ran faster to make up for it. And then I got ready, wrapped my brother's birthday presents, and then headed to my Dad's house.

We went to the same restaurant we went to last year for my brother's birthday, it was quite a bit busier tonight, but we ended up sitting at the same table, which was interesting. And I ate the same salad I had last time because there are really only two vegetarian options on the menu, and the other one involves mushrooms and raisins, which doesn't sound appealing. After dinner we went back to my Dad's house, my brother opened the presents I got him and his birthday cards, and we all sat around the table and talked until about nine o'clock.

When I got home I played CoD: WW2 and prestiged for the fifth time. I had some good games tonight and some bad ones. I also had weird computer issues. During the middle of one game I lost my HUD for a couple minutes and then I lost all ability to control my character. No keyboard or mouse. The game kept going but it was War and it was at the end of the first objective so everyone else moved on and I was just stuck there. I couldn't exit out of the game so I just played on my phone until the game was over and then everything went back to normal. Several games later I got a warning about memory and then the game crashed. Who knows.

Now it's late, and I want to accomplish things tomorrow. Like laundry, make bread, and hopefully work on my article. We'll see what happens.
