This morning I slept in, which
was nice. I decided to try making an egg frittata for brunch and it
ended up being more of a lunch because it took so long to make. I
started the process a little after ten o'clock and it was well after
eleven o'clock by the time I finished. I don't know if I just wasn't
using a high enough heat or what. I do know that in the future I
will probably just turn it into a scramble or an omelet, because that
would have taken far less time. In the end, it was pretty tasty, so
there's that. I ended up using the second half of the red bell
pepper I used in my sweet potato chili, as well as a scallion,
vegetable broth, and some cilantro. I started by sauteing the white
part of the onion with some garlic. Then I added in the egg mixture
and waited. It took so long, but I was able to do all of my dishes
and look through a couple carpentry books, so I was at least
productive with my time.
After I ate I got ready, loaded
up my car, and headed to my Mom's house to do laundry. While that
was happening I watched episodes of Star Trek: Voyager and
read from the two library books I'm working on at the moment. My
goal is to actually finish them, preferably without having to renew
them, but I don't really think that will happen. I'll keep plugging
away, though.
When my laundry was done I came
home and ate dinner. For dessert I had a piece of the cinnamon roll
cake my sister made and dropped off at my Mom's house for me. It was
really good. And I have more to look forward to. While I ate dinner
I caught up on YouTube videos.
After dinner I came down to the
basement and played Borderlands: The Pre=Sequel. It's such an
easy game to get sucked into. I keep wanting to do “just one more
thing” and then “just one more thing” and so on and so forth.
Now I'm watching the Mister Rogers livestream. I'm not sure
but I think they're up to the 80s. Mr. Rogers is looking more like
the guy I remember from my childhood. I am hoping that they continue
to air episodes after the marathon, like they do with Bob Ross. It
would be nice to duck in occasionally and visit the Neighborhood.
It is now eleven o'clock. I need
to record my audio journal and then go to bed because I open in the
morning. I also open on Wednesday. Then I close Thursday and
Friday. Kind of a weird schedule. I also have a presentation
tomorrow and technically two on Wednesday because I have to give the
all-staff meeting one twice, because there is a meeting in the
morning and one in the afternoon so that everyone can attend. And I
need to work on the presentation I'm giving next week. I'm looking
forward to all of these presentations being over.
