Last night I got a full eight hours of sleep. After I got up I went
out to the living room and read for awhile. My couch is so
comfortable. I need to use it more. Then I think I clicked around
the internet for awhile before getting ready, loading up my car, and
heading to my Mom's house to do laundry.
While my laundry got clean I wrote with my pen and watched the movie
Legend. The movie was about twin British gangsters in the
1960s, both played by Tom Hardy. It was interesting. I liked the
narrative choice and I think they did a really good job making it
look like they cloned Tom Hardy, especially when they fight. As for
the pen, I wrote a couple quotes and then I just rambled on a piece
of paper for the sake of writing. It was fun.
I decided I was going to try Five Guys fries tonight, and drove all
the way across town for it, only to find out they didn't have a
drive-thru. My desire to try the fries was overshadowed by my desire
not to get out of my car. So I went home with just a car full of
clean laundry.
For dinner I ate leftovers in the basement while watching movies on
the projector. I watched Beauty and the Beast and Get Out.
In Beauty and the Beast they did a good job of making Gaston
look like a dick. My favorite part of Get Out was the best
friend. I have a tendency to like sidekicks more than the main
characters. As for the movie itself, very interesting. And very
creepy. It took me longer than it probably should have to figure out
everything that was going on, but I got there eventually.
While I watched those movies I read reviews and started a list on
Amazon of tools I want to get after I make my workbench for the
garage. At some point I would like a small drill press, miter saw,
and table saw. And a pocket hole jig, because those things look
awesome.
Now I need to go upstairs so I can record my audio journal. After
that I'll probably go to bed because I'm tired.
