This morning I woke up after
maybe six hours of sleep. I went with it, though, and stayed in bed
and read for about an hour before getting up. I spent the rest of
the morning playing Viscera Cleanup Detail and listening to
Ready Player One. The audiobook was a bit of a fail. Even
though I had it arranged in order by disc, it was playing in order by
title. So it went from the first track of disc one to the first
track of disc two to the first track of disc three, and on and on.
It took me awhile to figure that out. It seemed like it was moving a
bit fast and the early bit was different from what I remembered
reading (because I read the first chapter or so years ago). When I
realized what was happening I tried fixing it but the same thing
happened again. I ended up sorting it out eventually but I wasted so
much time. I should be so much farther in the book. There were also
some spoilers, which is annoying.
After lunch I played a bit of
Tera, practiced my handwriting, listened to more of Ready
Player One, and watched some of the Cali Roots festival. Then I
took a nap because I was tired and bored. I'm a fan of naps but I
don't get them that often anymore, which is a shame.
For dinner I went over to my
Mom's house for a family dinner. She grilled hamburgers (I
microwaved my fake ones) and we had all the other usual stuff, like
deviled eggs and my sister's homemade coleslaw. Good times. After
dinner we talked for awhile and watched American Ninja Warrior
on TV. I think I made it home sometime after 8:30PM.
I played Borderlands: The
Pre-Sequel tonight and I quickly remembered how funny the writing
is for the Borderlands franchise is. I'm a fan. I have yet
to finish the first or second games, and I probably won't finish this
one, but I will enjoy playing it until I get distracted by something
else. I think my main problem is that I get so distracted by side
quests that I lose track of the main quest. It's a problem.
Now I'm watching the Dirty Heads'
set at Cali Roots. It didn't start too hot but they have gotten
better as the set has gone on. When it's over I'll record my audio
journal and go to bed. I've had a headache most of the night and I
am hoping that I can sleep it off.
