This morning I slept in and I very much enjoyed that. After a random bit of breakfast I adjusted one of the feet on the washer to level it out because it was going nuts, and I reversed the door on the dryer because now it is to the right of the washer rather than the left. Reversing the door should have been a fairly straightforward process but I mistakenly took off both hinges before trying to put them on the other side of the door and I forgot how they went on. I tried four different ways before finally getting it on the fifth try. That was after I took a moment to remember how hinges work.

When I was done with that I watched part of a Psych episode before deciding to read a textbook. I need to figure out the reading reflections for one of my classes. I ended up re-reading one of the chapters I read previously and forgot all about. I need to read one more chapter and then attempt to write about it. Then, throughout the week, read the next however much and write another reflection, hopefully by Friday because next weekend is our first face-to-face visit and it would be nice to be caught up.

After lunch I went over to the old house and my mom ended up being there. She was packing stuff up and I did the same. I got the Total Gym from the basement and cleaned it off before putting it into the bed of the truck. I also brought up the old Apple computer and cleaned it off. There was a little rust on the bottom and I think maybe it got a bit damp in one of the basement floods. I got it all set up and started it up to make sure it still worked before taking it over to the new house. Thankfully it seemed to be working fine. It was our first family computer so many years ago and I can still remember the day we bought it, with the expertise of my mom's old boss.

I also got an old nightstand, another box of books, some deck chairs, and bags of trash before heading back to the new house. After unloading everything I had dinner and a little while after that my sister and her significant other showed up so my sister and I could continue hanging curtains. I had my sister bring over my three bass guitars, two amps, and ukulele because they have been at her house for years now. Maybe now I will get into playing them again. Once I get my keyboard over to the new house I'll have all of my instruments in one place.

We got curtains up in my mom's room, the dining room, and the basement family room. We had curtains for my second room but didn't have a rod for it so we had to call it a night. This was fine with me because it was almost nine o'clock and I was kind of worn out after moving all the things from the old house to the new house and then hanging curtains.

When we were done I headed over to the old house, where I am now, so I could watch the new episode of Doctor Who, read some more of the discussion posts (and reply to one), watch some YouTube videos, and write this. At some point in the near future I will be returning to the new house so I can sleep. I'm looking forward to that. Last night I parked in the driveway and was able to get into the house and downstairs without waking the dogs up. That is a feat. One which I hope to repeat tonight.
