I slept in pretty late this morning and it was great. Very much
needed.
Around one o'clock I went to meet my brother for lunch. We were
going to go to a new Asian place but he found out they were closed
today so we decided to go to Chipotle. I got there first and the
line was past the door and we would have been spending his entire
lunch break waiting in line, so we decided to walk over to Jimmy
Johns. We talked about his new job, which he seems to be liking but
it is his first day, and we talked about school. He is taking
seventeen credit hours plus eight hours of firefighting stuff, so
that is way too much. I'm good with just the six I'm taking. We
probably spent most of the time talking about video games, which is
pretty much par for the course because we normally only talk about
video games. But it was a good lunch. I don't ever really hang out
with my brother and that should change.
After lunch I went over to the old house and spent the rest of my
afternoon watching YouTube videos and clicking around the internet.
I looked a little bit at school stuff but really I just wanted a day
off from that. I miss having constant access to the internet but it
is beneficial to my textbook reading. The internet is nice but it is
incredibly distracting.
I went home for dinner and watched the original pilot episode of
Seinfeld. It is surprising
how similar it was to what the show ended up being. So often the
pilot looks like an entirely different show but they managed to
maintain the same feel with this one. After dinner my mom and I went
to put gas in the pickup before returning it to her friend. Then I
did some laundry and crocheted a little bit before heading back to
the old house to write this and watch some more YouTube videos. I
made it below 450 videos on my Watch Later list but it will easily go
over 500 as the week progresses. I will never catch up.
I am also currently downloading
Portal and Portal
2 to my laptop because earlier
today I had the urge to play them. My choice was solidified when I
turned on the college radio station and there was a video game music
show on that was playing a song from Portal.
So now I am waiting for those to finish downloading before I head
back to the new house.
This coming week, more MAP testing.
No thank you. I also need to work on grad school stuff, hopefully
finalize stuff for the small group project and get a start on that.
My fingers are crossed for a productive week.
