In an unsurprising twist, I didn't even attempt to do anything school
related today. I slept in, started/played/beat Portal,
laid in bed and listened to NPR, and eventually went to dinner for my
sister's birthday. I had forgotten how short Portal
is. I didn't keep track of how long it took me but I flew through
it. It helps that I have beaten it at least once before. It is kind
of like riding a bike. Next I need to play Portal 2
again because I remember that one being longer, probably harder, and
a lot funnier thanks to the voice acting talents of Stephen Merchant.
I would have played it today but I was listening to stuff on the
radio and would have had to choose one over the other.
Before dinner I read a few chapters
in a book for fun. And then we went to dinner. My sister picked a
Mexican restaurant and I got what I usually get at a Mexican
restaurant: something with beans in it, something with cheese in it,
and then a side of rice and beans. It always tastes the same and it
is never exciting, but it is pretty good. After dinner we went back
to the house for cake and ice cream, followed by presents. The stuff
I ordered for my sister won't be here until Tuesday so they will be a
belated, Chipotle night present on Wednesday.
And that was my exciting, lazy
Sunday. I spent so much time lying around in bed that I will
probably be up reading more in my book for fun. Or maybe I could
start reading the textbook stuff for the coming week. But I probably
won't. I don't want to ruin my school-free day.
