Yesterday I forgot to mention that I started my day by cleaning out
the inside of my computer tower. I have been waiting too long in
between cleanings lately. I need to get better at that. It always
makes me feel better after I have cleaned out all the dust and made
it look new again. Or at least pretty close to new. Some of the
dust is very persistent.
Today I watched stuff and played Cube World. I know that I
continued watching the first season of New Girl but I am
pretty sure I watched something else. Maybe. Or not. I don't know.
Anyway, Cube World. I leveled up a couple more times,
tamed a badass Leaf Runner, killed a bunch of scary fish in the
ocean, and spent a lot of time in a temple dungeon. I have yet to
beat a dungeon boss but I do believe I have made significant progress
at beating up the minions leading up to the boss. As long as I can
keep it to only fighting two or three at a time. When I aggro more
than that It gets a bit difficult to kite them around long enough to
kill them all, especially when my pet dies. I am really enjoying the
game, even if my wrists aren't. It gets more fun as I level up
because I don't get immediately annihilated by all the mobs I come
across. Only a lot of them.
Tonight at work I nearly finish the second letter in my cross stitch.
I could have gotten even closer but I decided I needed a break. And
I wanted to type this up before I got home so I didn't have to worry
about it. I should be able to finish the second letter tomorrow,
fingers crossed, and maybe get a start on the third. I'm creeping up
on the halfway mark. I won't be able to keep this pace up when the
school year begins but maybe I can finish it by then. That is a big
maybe.
While I worked on the cross stitch I watched Blood & Chrome,
a movie prequel to Battlestar Galactica that follows Adama
(Edward James Olmos's character in Battlestar Galactica) on
his first mission when he first joined the military. It was pretty
good and it was interesting getting a glimpse at that world before
the series. Caprica didn't last but I need to check that out
next. I only saw an episode or two when it was on TV but couldn't
really get into it because I didn't know what was going on. It, too,
is a prequel to Battlestar Galactica, and now that I have
watched that, maybe Caprica will be more meaningful.
I also started watching series seven of Doctor Who. I'm not
looking forward to reaching the end. I'm sure they throw in some
funny stuff but I just remember the sad bit. And I guess it isn't
necessarily sad because their is a twist, as there tends to be with
Doctor Who, but it is still kind of sad. Especially when you
add in the storyboarded post script that wasn't filmed but just makes
the whole thing more of a tear-jerker. I'll get there soon enough.
And then I think I'll start Sherlock. Keeping with the
British theme.
When I wasn't doing all of that stuff, I read a bit from Under The
Dome and did some actual work by building a couple movies, minus
the trailers because we don't have a trailer list yet. And now I
have about twenty-five or thirty minutes before I can clock out and
go home. We don't have a ten o'clock show in the morning which is
nice because I can get an extra hour of sleep. It still sucks waking
up in the morning to the sound of an alarm. Though it is better when
the alarm is set to 8:00AM or 8:30AM and it is light outside,
compared to 6:00AM during the school year.
