I am exhausted. Today I helped my brother with his Eagle project. Or helped my dad with my brother's Eagle project. We went out to the lake around one o'clock and I didn't do much out there other than vacuuming the dock my brother is fixing up and random little things. My dad, step-mom, brother, and his girlfriend swept and then started to stain the dock. We called it good around four o'clock and it couldn't have come sooner because my brother was starting to get a little grumpy. He got into poison ivy a few days ago and he is really allergic to it so that was bother him and he was hungry and not drinking water and he didn't really want to be there. So we called it good at the lake for the day. But we weren't finished.

The rest of the day was spent staining the benches that are going on the dock. My brother went to the doctor and got more medicine for his poison ivy and spent the rest of the day in the basement playing video games. To be fair, he needed to stay out of the heat but the benches still needed to be finished so they could be installed tomorrow so the work fell to my dad, sister, step-mom, and myself. My dad mentioned earlier in the day that he would have put in the same effort to help me with my Eagle, and I believe that for the most part, but he definitely wouldn't have let me sit inside and play video games while other people worked on my project. I would have been ripped a new one.

There was some worry that we would run out of stain before we finished staining the benches but we ended up having just enough. The staining went pretty fast but we had to wait for it to dry a bit so we could flip the pieces over and get the other side. The hardest part of it all was cutting through two of the 4x4 legs that were a little too long, with a handsaw. That was incredibly tiring and hot as hell. We got everything finished and cleaned up by 9:30PM or so. It was a long day. Tomorrow we are supposed to head out to the lake again at 9:00AM to put the benches in and stain the rest of the dock if my brother is able to get more stain. Regardless of what happens, I have to work tomorrow night so I will be leaving at 3:00PM so I have time to get cleaned up and eat and just relax for a little bit. Work won't be that tiring but it is hot upstairs and tiring in its own way.

Last night my left eye was super itchy and I kept rubbing at it. This morning I woke up and my eye looked fine but underneath it was red and puffy like I had been punched in the face. And it was still itchy but I haven't itched it all day because I don't want to touch it. I am using the eye drops I used last year when my eyes got all gross and would seal shut overnight. I hope it doesn't get that bad this time but we'll see how things are looking in the morning. I think it is an allergy thing and I am hoping this doesn't become a yearly thing. It looks weird and it is pretty annoying.
