Today at work I watched Django Unchained.
Finally. My favorite scene is still the lynch mob with their
ill-fitting hoods. That was pretty much the only scene I saw when it
was in theaters and it is still hilarious. As for the movie as a
whole, I liked it. Especially all the different music. The music
really made the movie for me.
I made a little progress on my cross
stitch and I also read a bunch in Under The Dome.
But I eventually had to stop reading because all the tension was
making me anxious. According to the Kindle counter I still have
about twenty-four hours of reading to go before I finish the book.
That's a long time. But hopefully I make it and not too many of the
people I like will be killed off.
I also ran into two of my high
school classmates. One was with his little nephew and the other was
with his two kids. My peers are so grown up now. And I am not. I
want a wife and kids and a career and a life and all that grown up
stuff but I don't think I am anywhere near any of that. Not even
kind of. I'm definitely on a much slower and more lackadaisical path
than a lot of people my age. And as I always say and never follow
through on, I need to work on that.
Tonight, I did not work on any of
that. I watched YouTube videos and played a bit of Cube
World. And now I am tired but I
am back to the being really tired yet unable to fall asleep thing.
It is nice laying in bed but it is frustrating when I have to get up
in the morning but can't fall asleep. On the plus side, we dropped
the ten o'clock shows tomorrow so I get to go in an hour later (at
ten o'clock instead of nine o'clock). Soon enough I will go back to
waking up at six o'clock. That is going to suck.
