This morning I woke up and ironed my pants for the week before
getting ready and going to work. It was an interesting day at work
and this will be a short entry because there's not much to write
about. One of the other librarians left some bananas at the desk
over the weekend specifically for the purpose of me trying the Makey
Makey. That was fun. I made bongo drums and a piano and played
Tetris and just experimented with it. I think it will go over
pretty well at the faire. I also might try making a guitar or other
peripherals in case something horrible happens to the bananas.
I came up with possible questions for the firefighters and police for
our class next semester. They wanted to know the topics we wanted
covered, so I did my best to think up random questions that they
could answer.
I was on desk for two hours later in the morning and I can't really
remember what I did with all of that time. I know I did things that
took up the whole two hours, and I don't think I was ever bored, I
just can't remember what happened. Oh well.
This afternoon was kind of strange because I had one walkthrough and
the rest of the time I was off desk. I decided to spend that time
upstairs so I could do things without being distracted. It also
allowed me to listen to music, which is an enjoyable way to work. I
worked briefly on my latest tutorial but ended up getting sidetracked
by reading a chapter from the book we're finally getting back to
during out next department meeting. I remember very little of the
previous six chapters, and I probably won't remember much of the
seventh by the time we have our meeting on Wednesday, but at least I
read it. I also answered a chat and some emails and redesigned a
form because it was annoying me.
When I got home, the same old things happened. I ate dinner (my
rolls are still good), I watched more episodes of Star Trek:
Enterprise, and now I'm watching YouTube videos. Yet another
exciting evening.
