Today was Christmas, as evidenced by the date. This morning I woke
up, got ready, and loaded up my car. I packed my laundry, presents,
my laptop, a couple TV trays, and one of my TVs, and then headed over
to my Mom's house.
When I got there I started my laundry and then set up the TV and my
laptop downstairs. We discovered that the fireplace wasn't working
and we're assuming it was another victim of the power surge awhile
ago. Kind of annoying. To save things a little bit I played a video
of a fireplace on the TV while playing a couple different Christmas
music playlists on Spotify. The best song was (All I Want for
Christmas) Is My Two Front Teeth by Spike Jones. It was really
funny.
After my sister and her husband arrived we ate some brunch before
going downstairs to open presents. My mom and sister both liked
their crocheted bears, so that made me happy. I got several cool
things, including a new set of pots and pans, and two loaves of
homemade bread. Along with the bread, my sister also made a
chocolate cake with a cherry pie in the middle. I was a little bit
skeptical when she first mentioned the idea of trying it but it
turned out really well. The cake was more like a brownie and she cut
back on the sugar a little bit for the pie so it wasn't overly tart.
It was delicious.
I came back to my house for a few hours before dinner and watched The
Santa Clause 3, finishing the trilogy. I started watching Arthur
Christmas but only got part way through before my friend and her
boyfriend stopped by. My friend got me a cool little carved dragon
for Christmas. I plan on making her a crocheted robot but it will be
slightly belated.
They left at seven o'clock and I headed back to my Mom's for dinner.
We had our traditional homemade pizza and mine was delicious as
always. Tater tots, artichoke hearts, a fake hamburger, with a
creamy garlic sauce. Green peppers are also supposed to be involved
but they have been forgotten the past couple of years. Life goes on.
When I got home I finished watching Arthur Christmas and
played Terraria. Now I'm going to go to bed because I'm
freaking tired. I had a really good Christmas but it was apparently
exhausting.
