Last night I changed the time for my alarm clock but then forgot to
set it. Story of my life. Despite that, I ended up waking up around
the same time that I had wanted to, so it worked out.
I spent my morning reading. I think I switched between four
different books. It was a nice way to spend the morning.
For the rest of the day I worked on the crocheted bear. It is such a
tedious process making all the appendages. Part of it has to do with
how tight I'm making the stitches. I tend to crochet a little tight
to begin with but I also want to make the stitches as close as
possible so the stuffing is less obvious. With all my work today I
managed to finish making everything and was able to sew the legs on.
I could probably finish sewing everything on tonight but I need a
break. Hopefully by the end of the weekend I can get everything sewn
together. I still need to decide on the eyes. I looked for safety
eyes, or whatever they're called, when I was at Hobby Lobby the other
day but couldn't find them. My next stop will be Jo-Ann's. If I
can't find them there I at least know where the buttons are.
While I crocheted I watched YouTube videos and started watching The
OA on Netflix, their latest original series. They finally got
the marathoning right by not having a long opening sequence and
making the credits optional. It gets really annoying having to sit
through or skip the opening sequence of a show when you're watching
multiple episodes back-to-back. Hopefully this is a sign of things
to come. As for the show itself, I'm hooked. Netflix has done it
again. I'm nearly done with the fifth episode, leaving three more to
go. If I didn't have to work in the morning I would probably stay up
until it was over.
Unfortunately I do have to work in the morning. Which is also
unfortunate because it apparently rained today and it is well below
freezing outside so the roads are slick. And it will be even colder
tomorrow, with the possibility of snow. A perfect weekend to stay
home. Or I guess wake up early and drive to work in the dark.
