Today was fairly boring. At least what I can remember of it. Most
of my day at work was spent working on class outlines. I pretty much
finished the outlines for both September classes and got a brief
start on the handouts. Progress, but it would have been nice if I
had accomplished more. My To-Do list is ridiculous at the moment and
a lot of it is coming due way too soon. It's getting a little
overwhelming actually, which I'm not a fan of. I need to get better
at time management and focusing on my objectives. And keeping track
of what I need to get done so I don't randomly remember things that I
need to do. Like coming up with a theme for a display and book lists
for two displays by the end of the month.
I can't really think of anything else worth mentioning from my day at
work because it was pretty much just boring stuff, working on a Word
document. I did help the occasional patron but it was just the usual
stuff.
My lunch included red pepper hummus and homemade tortillas that my
sister made me. And for dinner my mom got Little Caesars pizza. So
it was a pretty good food day.
Tonight I read from a few different books, watched YouTube videos,
and played No Man's Sky. I have embraced the opinion of most
that it really is a game on par with early release games on Steam
that are at most $20, not $60 like No Man's Sky. I still like
the game but the content really isn't there, I think I did everything
there is to do in the game and got the recipes for all the tech in my
first system, and the planets don't look half as cool as they did in
the trailers. I'm up to forty hours in the game though so I'm at
least going to get my money's worth. My goal now is really just to
get to the end of the game and move onto other things. I do see it
as a game I could continue to hop back into and just wander around to
waste time. I also played the demo for Virginia tonight,
which look-wise reminds me of a mix of a Telltale game and Firewatch.
I'm intrigued but I would need to see actual gameplay before I would
consider purchasing it. In the demo none of the characters talked
and all the picture frames were blank. Just two things that annoyed
me.
Soon I will probably be going to bed because it is one o'clock and I
wouldn't mind not sleeping through my Saturday because it would be
nice to get some things done. We'll see.
