Today I slept in and then eventually went to work. And then I did
things at work. My main project today was coming up with the
descriptions and timelines for each of the tech classes coming up.
That was successful. Now I need to focus on creating the outlines
and handouts for each class. My goal is to have the rough drafts for
the first two classes finished by the end of next week. I think it
is doable.
Today a patron called because she couldn't log into her account. It
ended up being an address check block which I cleared up, but in the
process of talking to her she mentioned her husband. She was born in
1995, which seems way too young to be married. And not necessarily
in the sense that she's only twenty-one (although also in that sense)
but because 1995 doesn't seem like it was that long ago. Even though
it was 21 years ago. I still find it hard to believe that anyone
born in the 1990s is an adult.
Tonight a woman passed out in the bathroom and her mom used our phone
to call an ambulance. My boss, who was closing with me tonight, went
down to meet the ambulance to direct them where to go. The
firefighters got there first because they're right down the street
and they ended up coming in a different door than the one my boss was
at, so I got to steal the glory and point out where the bathroom is.
I am a stealer of thunder. I can't speak for the health of the woman
but they took her out of the building on the stretcher and they
weren't in a hurry, so hopefully that is a good sign. The most
impressive thing of the whole experience was how many firemen and
paramedics fit into the bathroom, along with the woman, her mom, and
her sister. It was like a clown car.
I got off at eight o'clock and when I got home I talked to my mom for
awhile and then watched YouTube videos. Which I'm still doing. I
don't work this weekend and I'm not sure what I'll do. I know I want
to read and play video games. I also want to look at the quilting
book I checked out and see what I need for the project I want to try.
If I have everything I might do that as well. It's been far too
long since I've been able to be crafty.
