 I would have liked to sleep in today but I seemed pretty awake before the clock got anywhere close to eight o'clock. I managed to stay in bed until almost eight o'clock, so that's something at least.

I spent the vast majority of my day avoiding writing my reflective essay. Before lunch I edited the group paper, adding in most of what I said in the presentation to better explain my technology table. I also did a few minor formatting edits to the paper as a whole. I then sent it off to the group to give them a chance to look over everything one last time before I turn it in tomorrow night.

After lunch I accomplished nothing. I made a lot of attempts to start my reflective essay, occasionally looking at stuff, but couldn't bring myself to start it. Right before dinner I opened a blank document and wrote the title of my paper. That was a start.

I didn't actually start writing until after nine o'clock I think. That's ridiculous. I had plenty more distractions after that point but I managed to finish the essay shortly after one o'clock in the morning. It had to be less than three pages and I stopped at two and a half. I might go longer tomorrow when I actually read through the whole thing and edit it. My goal will be to get that done before lunch and then I can read through it again tomorrow night before I turn it in. Sounds like a solid plan.

Last month I placed an order for a custom leather notebook on Etsy. It was supposed to take at least two weeks to make and then however long to ship. I got notified that it shipped on Thursday and it arrived today. The shipping cost was more than half the cost of the notebook but I still wasn't expecting two day shipping halfway across the country. I would have preferred paying way less shipping and having it take a week or two to arrive but it wasn't an option. But now I have a cool leather notebook that looks way better than I was expecting. It's got my initials embossed on a piece of leather on the strap and it's got a TARDIS branded into the cover. It looks really cool. It also smells really good. I haven't owned anything leather in awhile and I miss the smell. I am really happy with it and I'm excited to start writing in it. Soon. The most amazing thing is that my mom not only immediately recognized the TARDIS on the front, but she also remembered what it was called. That is incredible.

It is now two o'clock in the morning and I am going to go to bed because that sounds really good right now. Tomorrow I am going to turn in the last two papers for the semester and I can't wait. I also need to fill out the job application for the public library. I should also probably look at what all I need to do for my practicum write-up but I will probably save that for another day. I could use a little break.
