I took the day off and it was somewhat guilt free. I slept in until
ten o'clock this morning which was nice, but I still had a couple
times throughout the day where I nearly dosed off. Yesterday was
exhausting due to driving for three hours and all the graduation
stuff, and then going out with my friend and being up until two
o'clock in the morning. And I'm going to start the week of tired
because it is after midnight now.
I played little bits of video games throughout the day, including:
Castaway Paradise, Tera, Creativerse, and
Minecraft. I ended up installing shaders and a new resource
pack for Minecraft. I didn't really like the resource pack so
I went back to my old one but the shaders were cool. They are more
of a drain on the computer because it makes the game look more fancy
and I haven't tried them since I upgraded my GPU. With my old one
the game performance really took a hit with shaders on but today I
was able to play with the highest level of shader with a far render
distance and the game was still playable. I started a new world
because I wasn't into building onto my other ones and I am now up so
late because I got caught up with building a new house in my new
world. It's probably a good thing that I haven't kept track of how
many hours I have put into Minecraft.
I worked on my penmanship tonight and it was rough. I did a whole
page of the lowercase 'i' lesson and if anything I was getting worse
by the end of it. I major part of my trouble comes from trying to
hold my pen “correctly”. I am supposed to just rest the tips of
my pinky and ring finger on the table, not my whole hand, so that I
can easily slide my hand along as I write. It's hard to make
straight and slightly curved lines when you don't have the base of
support from resting your hand on the table. And it was hard making
the letter without being able to slide my hand as I went. I had
brief moments where everything came together and it looked and felt
right, but that was rare. I'm definitely going to need to keep
working on that one before I move on to the next lesson.
I finished watching Deadpool today and I really enjoyed it.
It was way more graphic than I was expecting, both in dialogue and
violence but it fit the movie. It was also a pretty unique movie,
especially for a superhero movie, in how the main character
interacted with the audience and our real world, just like the comic.
I also watched Star Wars: The Force Awakens today. Also
enjoyable. The action was good and I enjoyed the humor. I had
already heard one of the spoilers but I wasn't entirely sure if it
was real so it was still pretty surprising. I was also not expecting
one of the revelations, so that was interesting. Now the next one
needs to come out.
I steamed the curtains in my bedroom today. They've been wrinkly
since I hung them up and since I still had the steamer out from my
graduation stuff I decided I might as well go for it. I had to
refill the steamer two or three times but I got the job done and they
look a lot better. Now I just have to do the ones in my computer
room.
There might have been something else I did today but it is now nearly
one o'clock in the morning and I need to go to bed.
