This
morning I continued my Mission: Impossible marathon, starting
with M:I3. That one starts out a bit depressing with Keri
Russell and I was reminded at how freaky they made her eye look.
Nightmare-inducing. Also, Philip Seymour Hoffman plays an excellent
villain. Of the four movies, he has far and above been the best
villain. He just seemed the most genuinely evil.
Starting
in the third movie with the introduction of Simon Pegg, and then
coming to fruition with his complete integration into the main team
in the fourth movie, comedy was added to the series. There was a bit
here and there in the first two movies but it got better in the third
and the fourth was on a whole new level. It was definitely a benefit
to the series. I enjoy a good action movie but when they take
themselves too seriously it becomes comical, unintentionally. That
is the cheesy kind of comical, which is good in its own right but I
like when an action movie is intentionally comical. The fourth movie
was the best in terms of actions and special effects and comedy but I
don't know if it was necessarily the best movie. I wanna say the
second one was the best one, at least in terms of plot, but I am
feeling a little biased toward Philip Seymour Hoffman in the third
movie. In the end, I enjoyed them all.
However
many days ago I made the oyster cracker snack mix. Today I used the
same mix but put it on Cheez-Its instead. I've only tried a little
bit but it seems to be good as well. I had no idea how many
Cheez-Its I should use so I just poured them into the bag until it
looked like there was around the same amount of oyster crackers I had
in the other bag. And then added a bit more to compensate for the
oyster crackers I have eaten. I probably could have added even more
but I'll wait to make that determination until I have tried a larger
sample size. A problem will arise when I want to make it with
Cheez-Its again and I don't have a bag of oyster crackers to compare
it to.
Before
work I went over to help my dad, sister, and brother move furniture
around at my grandma's house. The goal was to make the place easier
to move around in with the walker she has to use because of her
broken leg. Me moved her queen-sized bed down to the basement and
moved the twin-sized bed from the spare room into her room which
gives her a lot more space between the dresser and the walls and the
bed. Then we moved the love seat from the living room into the spare
room where the bed had been, and moved the cedar chest, which is like
a coffee table in the living room, up against the fireplace. Now she
won't have any real obstacles getting around her room or the living
room. A vast improvement.
At
work tonight I started and nearly finished my next letter to my
friend. I also watched a lot of Aqua
Teen Hunger Force,
read a few chapters in my book, and watched Now
You See Me.
I would say it was a good movie. I like the idea of magic, there
were some cool stunts, some good action, comedic relief (especially
from Woody Harrelson), and I liked the French lady played by Melanie
Laurent (or rather Laurent herself, not necessarily her character,
though she wasn't bad either). Overall, not a bad night I guess. I
might try some cross stitching tomorrow afternoon when I work. I
brought it tonight but get to it.
