Today at work I started watching Reaper
again, I read a couple more chapters in my book, finished the letter
to my friend, and I added almost two letters to my cross stitch. A
fairly productive day I would say. Nothing else really to report
about work.
When I got home I had dinner and
started watching movies. I started with Lockout,
which is a funny action movie that I enjoyed when it was in theaters
and I found out that I still enjoy it. I can't remember how well it
did, and don't care to look it up, but it has to rank up there with
my favorite sci-fi action movies. My favorite part is still when Guy
Pearce's character tells the President's daughter she is adopted. It
is hilarious every time.
Next I watched Hit And Run
with Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell, Tom Arnold, and Bradley Cooper. It
is more straight-up comedy with action mixed in. The car chases are
kind of pointless because they're just driving really fast and
instead of a chase it just feels like they are playing Follow The
Leader. I don't know if that makes any sense but whatever. It is a
good movie and the comedy is top-notch.
I took a break somewhere in there
and went to Dairy Queen. It was the first frozen hot chocolate I
have had in a really long time. I am happy to report they are just
as delicious and guilt-inducing as always.
The last movie of the night was
Captain America. I
saw most of it when it was in theaters but never got around to seeing
the whole thing. It was better than I thought it would be and it
made a lot more sense seeing it all the way through, not just in bits
and pieces. I think tomorrow I may watch Thor,
another movie I saw the majority of but never the whole thing all the
way through. Then maybe I'll go and rent The Avengers.
Maybe. Probably not. But there is a chance I will feel the urge to
get out of the house.
Throughout my movie watching, I
continued work on my cross stitch. I managed to finish all the
letters and got halfway through the outline of the dinosaur.
Hopefully tomorrow I can finish the entire dinosaur. That would be
freaking sweet. I've already started work on the next pattern I want
to make. For the dinosaur one I actually had to come up with the
dinosaur, based on pictures of other cross stitch dinosaurs and clip
art dinosaurs. The next cross stitch I want to make just consists of
words so I am just copying it, stitch-for-stitch, from the picture I
found. Which is a little difficult because it is at an angle and
kind of small, but still manageable.
Anyway, now it is definitely time
for bed. I am up way past my bedtime.
