This morning I stayed in bed and listened to the downpour outside.
Then around 9:30AM the downpour turned to thunderous hail. So I got
up and took a look outside because my poor car was in the elements.
The hail was really only about dime-sized at the most but as it came
down it felt like baseballs on my insides. I didn't make it out to
check for any hail damage because I still want to be in denial just
in case. I'll find out tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
Today was a lot of the same. Battlestar Galactica
and cross stitch stuff. I touched up my Don't Blink pattern and I
might start start working on that one eventually. I did a lot of
math for my sister's name, figuring out what size of cloth I needed
based on the size of the pattern, the space I want between it and the
mat, the size of the map, and enough left over to pull it over some
foam board. Her name will end up being about four and a half inches
tall and just over twenty-three and a half inches long. Or 72
squares tall and 379 squares long. There is a lot of stitching in my
future. I got started on the boarder for the first letter but only
finished two sides. It's going to take forever. I need to go
through and count out where the vertical lines will be and mark them
in advance so I don't have to keep stopping and counting over and
over again. I just hope I have counted right so far. It will be a
bitch if I haven't.
It does seem to be a sign of crazy
but I wish I could have visions that were as vivid as the people on
Batlestar Galactica.
Preferably in dream-form because I don't want to look like a lunatic
talking to myself or looking off in a random direction for no reason.
I've nearly made it through the third season now and I really want
to know who the five remaining Cylons are. I fear that won't happen
until the fourth season. Hopefully not all at once though, I like
the slow reveal.
It is only just after midnight but I
am surprisingly tired. Tomorrow I want to get up relatively early so
I can mail my letter to my friend (I finally got around to scanning
it and getting it ready to mail after sitting on it for nearly a
month for no reason), schedule a long overdue haircut, and pick up
some things at Target. All before work, which isn't until six
o'clock, but I am no longer on the early-to-rise schedule.
Lastly, the Irish accent is still
probably my favorite.
