I ended up sleeping in until close to eleven o'clock today. I woke
up numerous times before than but I had absolutely no desire to get
out of bed. And it was nice that I didn't have to. It took me
awhile but I did eventually manage to go to Hobby Lobby and I bought
a whole bunch of string and a bigger piece of cloth. Hopefully I got
all the colors of string I need but I won't know for sure until I get
around to making the pixel people.
This afternoon I tweaked the bottom half of the Dalek pattern I found
and tonight at work I started stitching it. I nearly finished it and
I think it looks pretty good but I'll reserve judgment until I get
the last row of dots finished. While working on that I continued
watching the third season of Doctor Who.
Unlike when I gained an appreciation for Rose by re-watching the
first two seasons, I still do not like Martha. Or her mother. I
don't have a problem with Martha when she isn't pining over the
Doctor but that is rare. I can't wait to get to Donna. The last
episode I watched tonight was the first appearance of the Weeping
Angels. I now want to see if I can cross stitch a Weeping Angel with
the words “Don't Blink” under it. It would be cool if I could
make a detailed angel but I can see myself just coming up with a
plain black one. We'll see. I still need to get a start on my
sister's name.
Now I am home and I just finished
the season one finale of Battlestar Galactica.
Talk about a cliffhanger. I'm just glad I'm not watching it on a
week-to-week basis so I don't have to wait to see what happens. The
annoying thing about this show is that they do a recap at the
beginning of each episode, which gets old pretty quick when I have
just watched all the previous things. Also, I'm not a fan of their
tank tops on the show. They look like backward girl tank tops. I
don't get it.
Anyway, I think I'm going to finish
the first episode of the second season and then go to bed. It is
really late already but I'm invested. I would like to wake up at a
decent time tomorrow so I don't miss out on the majority of one of my
days off. We'll see how that goes. My bed seems so inviting in the
mornings.
