I like typing 2017 much better than 2016. I never really got used to
typing 2016.
This morning I slept in and then eventually got up, got ready, packed
a lunch, loaded my laundry and things into my car, and headed to my
Mom's house.
While my laundry was going I played through Never Alone so
I'll be ready for the discussion coming up this week at the library.
I previously played it on my desktop but only got about an hour in
before getting stuck. I wanted to play it on my laptop today mostly
to make sure it would work on my laptop because that is what I'll be
using for the discussion. I also thought it would be good to have a
better idea of the game as a whole. I made it through the whole game
today thanks to on-screen hints. I don't know if that is a recent
addition to the game or if they were just turned off the first time I
played it. Regardless, they were a thing today and it allowed me to
beat the game. I didn't need them often but it allowed me to get
passed the spot I got stuck at the first time and helped me in a few
other spots. At some point I also want to watch the short videos
that are unlocked throughout the game because I think some of those
would also be good to show during the discussion.
I also read from a couple different books and watched several
episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Such a good show.
At some point I want to watch through the entire series. I loved
the show as a kid and I am gaining a new appreciation for it as an
adult. They cover so many interesting and forever timely topics with
their plots.
At seven o'clock I got tired of waiting for my sheets to dry so I
packed up what I had and headed to my sister's house because I needed
air in one of my tires. It is really annoying that I have to fill at
least one tire every time the temperature changes outside. After I
was done with the tire I texted my mom to check on my sheets. They
were done so instead of going home I swung back by her house to pick
them up. If they hadn't been done I would have just said screw it
and left them until Monday. I was really only concerned with the
pillow cases because I already put new sheets on my bed this morning
when I took the old ones off. But we're all good now. Now worries.
When I got home I reheated the leftovers from dinner last night and
it was still good. Maybe even better. While I ate I watched Star
Trek: Insurrection. It has just come on as I was leaving my
Mom's house and I was intrigued. I really think I saw it in the
theater when I was a kid. There is a possibility that I just rented
it but I really think I saw it in the theater. Several parts seemed
very familiar. And overall it was a good movie. I enjoyed the
random bits of humor throughout.
After the movie I played Farming Simulator 15 and recorded my
audio journal. I am making progress in the game. I'm now able to
work three fields, which has increased my income by quite a bit.
There are so many things I want to buy to increase my productivity
but my income is still not great. I did buy a new trailer, which may
be called a tipper, because my starting one had a really small
capacity and I was having to make several trips to sell grain for
each field. I haven't done the math but I am hoping I can get an
entire field into one load, two at the most. I'm also thinking about
saving up and buying another field because I think that would pay for
itself pretty quickly.
Anyway, it is late now and I am going to stop typing so I can go to
bed. I don't want to sleep in too much tomorrow because I want to be
able to fall asleep at a decent time tomorrow night. I would also
like to enjoy more of the day, rather than sleeping through it. Even
if I do love sleeping.
