Last night I didn't sleep very well.
My stomach was upset and it woke me up a couple times. At one point
I thought I was going to throw up but I didn't. It made for a long
night. I have my suspicions that it was related to my dinner.
Although it didn't affect me the first night so I'm not sure.
Regardless I don't plan on eating the rest of my pasta, even though
it was tasty. It's unfortunate.
Today at work I did things, once
again. I worked on the PowerPoint for the Facebook class next week.
At one point I got sucked into looking for gifs. That's a black hole
if ever there was one. I love the internet. I got some good ones to
add into the presentation and hopefully the old people that come to
the class will appreciate them.
While originally looking at gifs I
came across one that my coworker recognized from an anime she likes,
Madoka Magica. On her
lunch break she got her blu-rays and let me borrow them. The only
problem with that is that I have never gotten around to getting a
blu-ray player. I've thought about it for several years but never
really had a reason to get one. Well, now I had a reason. I did
some research over my lunch break and when I got back I ordered a
blu-ray player from Target with in-store pick-up. It was the
cheapest one with decent reviews and sounds like it should do the
job.
I messed around with the library's
website today and tweaked my class pages. I figured out how to add a
page but wasn't really paying attention while I did that so I imagine
I have already forgotten how. Oh well. It'll be slightly easier the
next time.
I finished pulling books for the
Inspirational display and got those switched out with the books from
last month. It tends to be a fairly popular display and hopefully I
don't ruin that record. I don't really read the types of books that
go on it but it is an interesting challenge trying to pick them out.
I think that pretty much sums up my
day at work. I know there was other stuff in there that I'm
forgetting but I'm getting pretty good at forgetting things and I'm
trying to embrace that fact.
After work I picked up Chipotle and
on my way to my Mom's house I stopped at Target to pick up the
blu-ray player. For the first time in quite awhile the Target
parking lot looked pretty barren. It was odd. Sadly I didn't get to
experience the joy of a nearly empty store because I just had to go
to the customer service area because I had already paid online. It
was pretty convenient.
My burrito bowl was once again good.
I think the corn salsa is still novel enough to make things
interesting. After dinner I showed a couple YouTube videos and then
my sister showed a couple. Then she gave me a belated Christmas
present of pans, muffin tins, and potholders. I am kind of excited
about that. Now I really don't have any excuse not to start cooking
because I have all the pots and pans I need. I guess the one excuse
is having not purchased the food yet. My food box is coming on
Thursday so that will give me my first try at cooking something other
than pasta. I'm intrigued.
When I got home I unloaded my car.
Along with the pans my mom also gave me a couple small rugs she found
in a closet because I was wanting one by the door coming in from my
garage. She also got me some Christmas ornaments because they were
discounted down to like $0.30 or something ridiculous.
Now I am going to fire up Farming
Simulator 15 and record the
audio version of this. I did some hunting last night and discovered
one of the cheaper combine headers that can harvest corn and is
compatible with my combine. It is still too rich for my blood right
now but it is way cheaper other options. I think there might also be
a cheaper option for the beets. It was a bit of an oversight on my
part to plant two out of my three fields with stuff I don't have the
ability to harvest. Live and learn.
