I forgot to mention that last night
after dinner we went to Dairy Queen for dessert and I got a small
blizzard. On top of all the Chinese food I ate for dinner. Some may
say it was a mistake. And for a few hours I was one of those people.
It was way too much food. I'm just glad I've been running on the
elliptical recently so I don't feel completely horrible about my
gluttony.
Today I read a couple chapters in my
HTML textbook and figured out my three page website isn't due for
another week, not on Monday like I thought. That is a relief because
I still have no idea what I want to do. I did add some more basic
stuff to the beginning of my page, like all the basic stuff that I
will then need to fill with content once I figure out what that
content is. I switched from using Notepad++ to Brackets as my HTML
editor. It has the option of opening up your page in a web browser
and it updates in real time based on the changes you make to the
code. Also, whatever you click on in the code will be highlighted on
the webpage, so if you click on a paragraph tag, that paragraph will
be outlined on the page. You can also hover over picture links or
color codes in the code and a preview will pop up. And it looks
really cool with the dark color scheme. It just makes me want to
type some badass HTML, and eventually CSS.
I replied to a discussion post for
my management class and I also responded to one for my web design
class, which I didn't really know existed until I was looking for
information regarding the website assignment. So I still need to
write my actual post for that thread, which I will do tomorrow.
I ran for half an hour on the
elliptical today. The last few days I made it up to twenty-five
minutes and today I decided to just go for it. My legs were still
feeling it from yesterday and my lower back started hurting but I
made it. I think I might go back to twenty or twenty-five minutes
tomorrow, take it easy.
Other than that, the day went by
pretty fast, most of it was spent reading and messing around with
HTML. I continued watching livestreams for ARK.
There have been several survival games in the past year or two but
they almost always involve some sort of zombie or mutant human, which
doesn't really do much for me. Zombies are a little boring at this
point. But dinosaurs are cool. And the ability to tame them and
ride them around is even cooler. I also kind of have a thing for
games where I can just zone out and farm and harvest stuff, like
Minecraft, and this
game is all about farming and harvesting resources, at least in the
beginning. Thankfully I can''t afford the amount of time investment
this game requires because I could get sucked in. Just watching the
streams is surprisingly enthralling, and admittedly it is a whole
bunch of not a lot going on.
Tomorrow will involve a discussion
post, a reply to a discussion post, more HTML stuff, probably more
ARK livestreams, and tomorrow night is Doraleous' livestream, which I
already have open in a tab so when I inevitably forget about it, the
sound of it starting will remind me. Fingers crossed I don't sleep
through half of the day.
