I had a dream last night that I ate
a hamburger. And it was disgusting. I think my apprehension about
eating meat, even in a dream, were then visualized when I tore the
hamburger open and it was just dark rotting meat. I've been thinking
more about eating meat in the last day or two but that dream made me
rethink those thoughts.
I slept in so the only thing I
accomplished this morning was sanding and applying another clear coat
to my tables. Productive, yes, but not in the way I was hoping
because I didn't get any reading done. I did this afternoon,
however. I read a chapter after lunch before going back out to sand
and apply another clear coat. And after dinner I read another two
chapters about management stuff. Boring management stuff. It is all
a bit deja vu of my undergrad days. Especially before I changed my
business major from management to marketing. I was not feeling
nostalgic for all those boring management classes, yet here I am. I
think this one will be better because it serves a practical purpose,
but the textbook is still a dull read at times.
I didn't finish reading until after
ten o'clock, at which point I rewarded myself with a little
Minecraft. I flew
around the Nether for a little bit and added a few things to my
buildings, and then flew around the regular world for awhile,
exploring a cave and breeding some animals.
While playing Minecraft
I watched K-Pop videos on YouTube because I have been into K-Pop for
a few days now. Unlike my management class, the music does make me
nostalgic, for my younger days when I listened to music like
B*Witched and M2M and Aqua. The good old days. My current favorite
K-Pop song is “Mister” by KARA, which I've heard pronounced like
a name and like an initialism. Although maybe when it is being
pronounced like a name it is actually an acronym. I don't know.
Either way, the song really does sound like something I would have
listened to when I was younger. There has been some J-Pop thrown in
there, and it is often times hard to tell the difference because I'm
not well versed in either genre, but J-Pop in general seems little
younger, which creeps me out a little. But it all makes me want to
watch anime because a lot of the songs sound like something that
would be played in the opening credits of an anime.
After Minecraft I
was going to start writing this entry but I got sucked into a YouTube
rabbit hole of BuzzFeed videos. I have recently subscribed to all of
their different channels and I keep getting sucked into stretches of
clicking on all the ones where people try odd foods. I just keep
clicking the links, and it's easy because they're often really short
videos, so it's easy to lose track of time. I finally had to switch
to music on Spotify so I could actually finish this thing. It has
taken me way too long.
Tomorrow I need to read some
articles and respond to discussion posts. And maybe post something
for my management class. I haven't actually looked into what that
post is about yet. But those are my goals.
