I slept in today but I eventually managed to accomplish some things.
Those things included editing and submitting my first five reflective
journal entries. I also learned about a discussion post for my web
design class that was due today so I also posted an entry there.
That was about the challenges experienced with learning CSS, and
because I haven't gone too deep in it yet it took me a bit to come up
with some stuff to write about. The hardest part at the moment is
deciding what I want my site to look like. I am looking forward to
learning more about CSS though because the examples I have seen of
what it is capable of are pretty amazing. And speaking of, I
continued to work on adding CSS to my website. My main
accomplishment was adding a banner image and making it responsive so
that it resizes with the size of the window. Simple but cool.
A dude came and got the electric fireplace in the basement working.
It only took almost a year to get that done because contractors get a
bit flaky once you've moved in, even though they're obligated to fix
things during the first year. Good people. But we've got a
fireplace now. Not so great on days like today when it's around 108
degrees outside, but Winter will be here soon enough.
Tonight I watched some YouTube videos and some livestreams while
working on my website. Not a bad evening. Tomorrow I believe we are
going to take a mini family vacation to go look at antiques in a town
not too far away. We did it maybe two years ago and it was pretty
fun. It's also nice to get out of the house every now and then.
