Another thrilling day in the summer life of me. At work today I decided to change things up with my left handed writing practice and instead of writing “the quick red fox jumps over the lazy brown dog” over and over again, I wrote a note to my friend. Or maybe I just started one. I haven't decided if I'm done or if I should just keep it going for the practice. I also came close to finishing the Latin American short story collection from McSweeney's. I have one story left that I can finish up tomorrow and check one more book off my list. I'm making progress.

It was close to a hundred degrees today which made it increasingly hotter upstairs. I'm just glad I didn't work up there tonight after the place had baked in the sun all day. Hopefully it will have cooled off by tomorrow. Outside and inside.

Tonight I clicked around the internet, watched YouTube videos, and caught up on the World Cup. I can't really remember the France v. Nigeria game but France came out on top. The Germany v. Algeria game was fun to watch. I wanted Algeria to win and both teams fought hard throughout the game and ended up having to go into overtime. Unfortunately, Germany scoring twice. In the last minute or so of extra time in over time Algeria managed to score a goal but it was too little, too late. Damn Germany.

After seeing a list tonight of which movies Netflix were losing in July I ended up watching Comic Book Villians. I had never heard of it before but I had heard of everyone in it. It was far from a good movie but I kind of liked it. I don't mind that I watched it. Towards the end it got super dark, something I wasn't expecting. Most movies may hint at the possibility of going that dark but not really go there. This movie just went for it.

I just started watching Spaceballs because that is also going away tomorrow, but I won't finish it. It keeps stuttering and my bet is that a whole bunch of people are trying to watch it. I'm going to call it good after I finish this because I want to go to bed.
