This morning I went with my mom and sister to go see my grandma in
her rehab place. It is very near where my other grandma was and it
was strange being up there. But it was good to see my grandma again
and she looked really good. At breakfast the other day she was a
little drugged up but she was doing well this morning. The first
thing I noticed when I walked in was the pillow case on her pillow.
I think it was from the same sheet set that was on the bed at the
cabin. We talked about random stuff for over an hour until I had to
go to work.
Work was the same old thing. I read stuff and worked on my
left-handed handwriting. I tend to develop a bit of a death-grip on
the pen as I write and I need to correct that so I can write longer.
And without pain. After focusing on it I was eventually able to make
a little progress but I've still got work to do.
It was Chipotle night and my burrito was delicious. We didn't watch
videos after dinner because Big Brother started
tonight and my mom loves Big Brother.
I do not. I watched a bit of the beginning because I was still
eating, and we were talking, and I liked the bearded dude because his
voice and accent just made me happy. Every time he opened his mouth.
It wasn't good enough to get me to watch the show but I enjoyed the
little bit I saw tonight.
Tonight I watched World Cup games.
I ended up having to watch the Argentina game online because once
again my DVR didn't record one of the games. I originally thought I
had forgotten to record one of the four games the past few days but
this is the third time it has happened and I double-checked yesterday
that I was recording all four today. So who knows what's up. I just
hope the United States game records tomorrow. And if not, that I can
find it online. As for tonight's games, the Argentina v. Nigeria
game was pretty fun to watch. Shortly after the start of the game
both teams scored a goal, almost back-to-back. And then the same
thing happened at the start of the second half. It was pretty cool.
Argentina eventually got another goal to get the win.
After soccer I played Gone
Home. It was cheap in a flash
sale on Steam tonight and I have been interested in it for awhile.
Interested in the idea of it at least because I had no idea what the
story was actually about. You play a girl who just got home from a
year out of the country and arrives to an empty house. A house she
has never been to before because her family moved in after she was
gone. The goal of the game is to walk around the house, find things,
read things, listen to things, and connect the dots to learn what is
going on. I was worried it would be a scary game but it wasn't. It
wasn't really much of a mystery either. Basically just a narrative
story that you walk through. I liked it though. I found the story
to be interesting and I liked the music. I was expecting something
sad but it wasn't. Might have been better if it was but I like not
sad, too.
