The D&D episode of iZombie was fantastic. Just saying.
I planned on waking up a little early so I could read before work.
That didn't happen. I really need to break this habit of waking up,
ignoring my alarm, and then napping until I have to run around. It's
not a good habit. If anything I need to be waking up earlier so I
can exercise before work. I felt so much better when I was
exercising regularly.
At work I pretty much just worked on my homebound stuff. And I was
successful. I finished pulling books, including having to find new
books for a patron because most of the books I tried yesterday were
all in paperback and she needs hardcover. I also printed out all the
bookmarks, got everything bagged up, labeled the bags, and got them
stored in the closet. After all that I went through and updated
spreadsheets. I got all but one of those done. So not bad. Other
than that, it was the same old thing. Helping patrons, attempting to
help patrons, and handing out summer reading prize tickets. And all
the other things I'm forgetting.
After work I got a text from my friend's mom asking if I could come
over and help her figure out the sound on her TV. She had the same
issue months ago, maybe longer, when my friend was in town and we
worked on it for quite awhile before kind of figuring it out. I had
a vague memory of what needed to be done but struggled to remember
how to actually accomplish it. I eventually got there, switching the
HDMI inputs in the settings menu for the TV and the Blu-Ray player.
For some reason the TV sound would play when we turned on the Blu-Ray
player and switched to that input on the TV. The only downside was
that she was wanting to watch Netflix, which is another input, but I
couldn't get that one figured out. So I only half solved the
problem. Better than nothing I guess.
We sat and talked for awhile afterward and I eventually got home
around eight o'clock. I made tiny egg sandwiches on tiny toasted
bagels for dinner. I added in green bell peppers, because that is
what I had, but I think I like red bell peppers better with my eggs.
It wasn't bad though.
I spent the rest of my night finishing the third season of iZombie.
I can see it being a good stopping place for the show but I hope it
gets another season... and I just checked and it looks like season
four is a thing. That is great news. The best part from the
episodes I watched tonight was when Don E shouted out “Pop a squat,
girlfriend” while lounged out on the ground, eating brains, and
simultaneously grabbing a box with his feet and moving it so Liv
could sit down. I can't imagine that comes across as funny in
writing but it was executed beautifully.
Tomorrow morning I have to go to a wellness screening for work. The
wellness screening is not required but you do have to pay an extra
$25 a month I think for not participating. So yeah, I'm
participating. Then I'm going to go do laundry and hopefully read
some of the graphic novels I have checked out. At some point
tomorrow I would like to play video games, but we'll see.
