I forgot to mention this yesterday but the newspaper got my name
correct on my article. Second time's the charm apparently.
This morning I slept in and it was great. Then I went to work.
I had a few free hours so I got back to weeding. It's been over a
month since I've weeded. I was back in my original section, which
includes old history books. I think I might be allergic. Or maybe
the only people who check out these books live in houses full of
cats. By the end of the day I had weeded over eighty books. It
would have been more but I also added about ten more to my to-read
list. I'm definitely in an area of weakness. And I'm about to start
on the very next section, which is just going to be a continuation of
things I want to read.
Pulling the books and processing them was pretty much my day. When I
was on desk before my dinner break I was going to process the books
but I got a bit overrun with other work stuff. I had non-stop chats,
phone calls, and patrons at the desk. It was kind of nuts.
Tonight I processed all the books, updated the website for tomorrow's
class, and started working on the personalized reading list I agreed
to last week. I also got involved with a troubleshooting questions
that started as a phone call and turned into several emails. And it
will continue to a new day because I ran out of time tonight. It is
also looking like it might be a bigger problem than I am able to
solve.
When I got home I ate some chips and dip. I have also taken far too
long writing this because I am also watching The Losers, a
movie I completely forgot about until last night when I got lost in a
YouTube rabbit hole of short clips of the best fight scenes in
movies. It's a pretty great movie. The only downside is they left
it open for a sequel but it apparently didn't perform well enough to
earn one.
It is now eleven o'clock and I'm going to record my audio journal so
I can go to bed.
