 I woke up at 3:22AM this morning because my throat hurt so bad I couldn't swallow without pain. I got up, drank some water, and sucked on a cough drop until I could fall back to sleep. Not the best way to greet the new day. The rest of the day I felt vaguely awful. I didn't necessarily feel bad but there was the hint of chills, overall fatigue, and an almost constant runny nose. I love illness.

I didn't take notes throughout the day but it was also a fairly uneventful day. Possibly. At least I don't remember it being eventful. I was on desk for the first two hours of my shift and it felt like I spent most of that time trying to figure out my tutorial layout. I think I will be making it in Publisher because that is the only thing at work I have access to that lets me do the layout that I want. We really need Gimp. I think I'm satisfied enough with my tutorial. It's not going to be anything spectacular but I think it will get the job done. Which I am looking forward to because I need to do actual work stuff. It feels like all my time has been taken up by this class.

I got my green display set up when I got off desk. I really like how it looks. And, it checked out a book within the first five minutes. Not bad. I'm hoping that it continues to check out so I can keep pulling green books.

I tried to use our iPad for the Sphero today because I need to get the workshop figured out. Unfortunately the Sphero is not compatible with an iPad 2, which is what we have. I can still use it on my phone which might end up being my option for the workshop. So far no one has signed up so I might be safe. I also emailed the teen librarian to see if she has a laptop that is compatible. We'll see.

Throughout the day I dealt with a patron who was having trouble with one of our digital services. She got fourteen hours into an audiobook and when she tried to resume it after pausing it, the book froze and wouldn't play. She initially called and I didn't have any immediate solutions but said I would look into it and get back to her. I couldn't find out anything specific but after getting more information from her I contacted the tech support for the service. I heard back from them once and they weren't familiar with the issue and after giving them more information I'm waiting to hear if they have any possible fixes. On top of everything, I had her uninstall and reinstall the app on her phone and after that her other audiobook stopped working, too. Whoops. Hopefully I hear back from them tomorrow.

And we'll say that was pretty much my day. When I wasn't helping customers I was working on my tutorial. It was a very long day.

After work I picked up Chipotle and headed to my Mom's house. I didn't show any videos tonight because I was kind of in the mood to just curl up in a ball and sleep for a million years. I stuck around and talked for awhile but headed home not too long after 8:00PM.

When I got home I watched some YouTube videos and started writing this. Now I'm going to record my audio journal so I can go to bed. I don't go into work until noon tomorrow but I scheduled a haircut in the morning so I have to get up early. That kind of sucks. A lot.
