May 4, 2014

Things were accomplished today and no one is more shocked than I. I messed around with my video editing software and made progress on the slideshow. I made a title screen and dropped in all the slides I have made so far. I also got the songs I will need for slideshow. I want to have one for the menu screen and two for the slideshow itself. I am also thinking of making an end credits screen and maybe using another song for that. I still need to make the menu but from messing around, I believe I make the slideshow and then import it into the program that I will use to make the menu. Other than waiting for the pictures of kids I don't have yet, I need to go through and manually tweak each transition between the slides, and make the end credits. The goal with that to just list all the kids in the slideshow and what songs I used. It would be cool if I could continue working on everything tomorrow after school. We'll see.

When I wasn't working on that, I played a bit of Tera, watched YouTube videos, listened to music, and exercised. And that pretty much sums up my day. I also wrote my monthly report for my volunteer thing. It wasn't a very exciting Sunday but they rarely are. And I am okay with. Relaxing is completely fine with me.

I got off to a strong start with my journal entries this month and today I have dropped that ball, mainly due to it being a slow Sunday. So I will forgive myself. And pad it a bit with an idea I have regarding my journal. For many years now I have thought about printing it out, collecting it my year. Several years ago I even started going back and editing it. Not censoring previous views or anything, but basic proofreading for misspellings and stuff that doesn't make sense because I used the wrong word or left words out altogether. I should proofread all of my entries after I write them because pretty much all of them have basic errors in them, but I tend to write them and forget them. Currently, I am almost done with the year 2005, so I've got a long way to go. The next several years after that were a bit sparse but it looks like I have been writing every single day since about mid-October 2009. Yikes. But my goal now is to actually have my journal printed in book form. Maybe a book for each year. At least every full year. And I don't mean to publish books, just use an online book printing service to print a single copy of each. My life could possibly interesting enough for an actual book if I edited it down and pulled one or two things from each year I have been writing, but my daily life is boring. Still, I think it would be cool to have it printed out and on my shelf. Getting to that point is one of my summer goals. I probably won't get anywhere close to caught up with editing but maybe I can try things out with the first couple of years.
