Today already seems so far away.
I slept in this morning and it was exactly what I needed. I stayed
in bed until the last possible moment and then I got up, got ready,
and ate a quick lunch before going to work. I wasn't on desk for the
first part of my shift so I spent most of that time working on my
homebound stuff. I sent out my two letters and got a start on book
lists. So much time goes into making those lists. I think it would
be best for all parties involved if we just loaded up the car with a
bunch of books and let the patrons pick the books they wanted. Maybe
in the future.
I met the lady who always calls in with all book and address
requests. She came in to look at microfilm so I showed her how to
look up information and use the machine. She was as nice as she is
on the phone and she is a very interesting woman. Very perceptive
and who knows what's going on in her head. She would make an
interesting character study.
After dinner, not a lot happened. It was a very slow night. I
didn't have anyone register for my class so I didn't have that going
on. I made an example Instagram picture for one of the other
librarians because she was asking me about it yesterday. I also
started looking up information for the presentation I have to give in
a couple weeks and the post I have to write before the staff meeting
next month. So I had a somewhat productive evening, but it was super
slow and it was nice when the clock struck nine.
When I got home I got sucked into watching Luke Cage. The
last episode of the season just started but it is also two o'clock in
the morning so I need to stop watching so I can go to bed. I don't
really want to be up until three in the morning and then sleep
through half of my day off.
