 A good chunk of my morning was spent getting ready for my practice class this afternoon. I finished the presentation slides this weekend so today I updated the handout and the website, adding in all the links and stuff. That took me awhile because I kept getting interrupted by phone calls and in-person patrons. How dare they make me do my job. In the end it all worked out and I made the last edit to the website right before I had to leave for lunch.

I wasn't scheduled to get back from lunch until two o'clock, which is when the class was scheduled, so my boss got everything set up so it was ready when I got back. It was a little stressful walking into the building and right into the lab to teach but I survived. It helped that the only two attendees were my boss and the assistant director. This was probably due to my boss only posting on the staff blog this morning that the class was happening. I'm cool with it, though. The first class next Tuesday has eight patrons registered so far, and if they all show up, it will be the highest attendance to-date for one of my classes. To be fair, there have only been two classes so far, but I'm still counting it. Anyway, the class went pretty well. The content took me less than thirty minutes to get through, which is probably good because the scanning will take awhile and then they will most likely want more time to play around with editing their photograph. My boss and the assistant director both got sucked into that and it was kind of cool to see.

I had about two free hours after the class which I used to work on my homebound lists. I have nearly finished, with a few books for one patron and ten for another. I'm going to be cutting it a little close, finishing that up and getting everything pulled and entered by Wednesday afternoon, but I think I can get it done.

I texted the lady who cuts my hair and got an appointment for next Tuesday morning before work. I'm not looking forward to getting my haircut and then dealing with the little loose hairs for the rest of the day at work, but by next Tuesday I'll be about two weeks overdue, so I can't complain too much.

I also texted my realtor and he called me tonight after dinner. We're going to go out on Wednesday after work and then again on Thursday after work. I just realized that Wednesday I'm probably going to be a sweaty mess after doing the homebound deliveries at the peak of the heat, which is supposed to be in the 90s with over 60% humidity. I might take a change of shirts at least because I'm going straight from work to meet the realtor. I can at least be halfway presentable.

Tonight I wanted to relax after my slightly stressful day, and the weekend of working on work stuff, so I watched YouTube videos, played a couple video games, and read a few chapters in Shades of Grey. I feel good about my evening. I might read one more chapter but then I want to go to bed because I didn't get a full night of sleep last night and I'm tired. I don't go into work until noon tomorrow which means I can either sleep in or get up early and do stuff before work. I'm leaning toward sleeping in and maybe staying in bed and reading. We'll see.
