This morning was pretty great. I slept in and then I read a book for
awhile before I had to get up and get ready. If only every morning
could be like that.
When I got to work I had three hours without being on desk or having
to do a walkthrough so I went up to the third floor. I spent that
time doing a bit of reading about Nordstrom's customer service, I
emailed a community group about doing a class, and I watched
forty-nine usability recordings of our website. So I was productive.
After that three hours I was on desk for an hour, had an hour for
dinner, had two hours of walkthroughs where I spent most of my time
looking for technology grants, and then two hours on desk where not a
lot happened. The day went by surprisingly fast.
I was two minutes late getting back from dinner because during dinner
I spilled salsa on my pants. I then had to quickly scrub my pants so
they didn't stain (in case salsa stains) and iron a new pair of pants
because my pants never come out of the dryer without wrinkles. It
was mildly stressful and I'm shocked I only ended up being two
minutes late.
And I think that's all I've got to write about today. It was just a
quick, uneventful day.
Tomorrow I open, which sucks, but it also means I get off at five
o'clock, and it is going to be Chipotle night. My first class is
also tomorrow. I'm not teaching it, and only two people are signed
up to come, but I'm still invested in its outcome. So I'm mildly
anxious about that. I'll be full on anxious later in the month when
it's my turn to teach.
